I am a tenured Biology Professor and deep-tech systems builder. I translate a decade of academic research and scientific rigor into high-velocity software, custom embedded systems, and distributed hardware automation.
Software engineering is trapped in its own Smith-Waterman era—obsessed with the mathematically perfect but computationally heavy Abstract Syntax Tree (AST).
In many ways, Code can be though of as a living, mutating organism (git history). To analyze it at repository scale, I built blAST (Bypassing LLMs and AST engine) for GitGalaxy. By abandoning the compiler bottleneck and applying deterministic search strategies to code, GitGalaxy maps intent and cognitive load across 50+ languages at over 100,000 lines of code per second. We traded the microscope for a telescope.
- GitGalaxy: An AST-free LLM-free deterministic knowledge graph engine for deep repository intelligence. Designed to map, secure, and modernize enterprise codebases across 50+ languages at extreme velocity.
- Embedded Systems & Robotics: Engineering custom MicroPython kernels and building distributed hardware automation (including a multi-node Raspberry Pi and Pico network for industrial-scale sorting).
- Agri-Tech Hardware: Developing passive guardian systems, like solar-powered environmental monitoring stations for agricultural hoop houses.
- Languages: Python, C/C++ (kernel level), Java Spring Boot
- Systems: Linux native (Mint Cinnamon, Raspberry Pi OS), robust SSH and server fleet management
- Hardware: Raspberry Pi 5, Picos, Arduino, custom PCBs, servos, and sensor arrays
Translating complex systems—whether that's calculating risk exposures from stoichiometric signatures or modernizing legacy COBOL/JCL architecture into modern frameworks.
