We have some significant issues with XMLSerializer (and XHTML path in general), including: - HTML/SVG rendering in mathML (https://github.com/edrlab/thorium-web/issues/227) - iframe blob creation requiring a significant and impactful amount of time in Firefox We know some rendering engines are already handling XHTML through the HTML pipeline, so we will experiment with this before the end of this year.
