Summary

remove Python 3.14 from the CI matrix until the current PyO3/numpy bindings support it
remove the 3.14 trove classifier from package metadata
add a regression test that keeps workflow and metadata Python versions in sync

Test Plan

PYTHONPATH=python pytest -q
