🟡 Minor · Regenerate the API reference for the complete collisionProtection… · olmv1-api-reference.md:495
docs/api-reference/olmv1-api-reference.md:495
📐 Maintainability & Code Quality | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winRegenerate the API reference for the complete
collisionProtectioncontract. The reference now marks the template field as required, but it still omits the required
ClusterObjectSetSpec.collisionProtectionfield. It also spells the phase fallback as.spec.collistionProtection. Regenerate the reference so it documents the completeobject > phase > speccontract and uses.spec.collisionProtection. This is separate from the serialization issue.Suggested fix
Regenerate the API reference from the current API declarations. The generated output must include the
ClusterObjectSetSpecentry and replace the misspelled fallback:-| `collisionProtection` _[CollisionProtection](#collisionprotection)_ | collisionProtection specifies the default collision protection strategy for all objects<br />in this phase. Nit: This would ignore all lint errors on this field. Might be better to setup a lint config file with lintersConfig.requiredFields.omitempty: Ignore

…terObjectDeployment - ClusterObjectSetSpec.CollisionProtection already carried +required but its json tag still had omitempty, letting Go serialise an empty string silently. Remove omitempty and clarify the doc comment to remove "When set" phrasing that implied optionality. - ClusterObjectDeploymentTemplateSpec.CollisionProtection was +optional. Promote it to +required, drop omitempty, and update its doc comment. - Regenerate all derived artifacts: CRD YAMLs, manifests, applyconfigurations, and API reference docs. collisionProtection now appears in the required list for spec.template.spec in the ClusterObjectDeployment CRD. - Update tests: newTestClusterObjectDeployment now supplies a default CollisionProtectionPrevent value; add empty-value rejection cases to the create and update validity tables; replace the DoesNotDefaultTemplate test (which relied on omitting the field) with CollisionProtectionIsRequired; remove the now-invalid update path that cleared the field to "". spec.template.spec.collisionProtection is now a required field (operator-framework#3039), so the controller no longer needs to default it when building a ClusterObjectSet. buildClusterObjectSet copies the template value directly, and the defaulting helper and its test are removed.
