Hi, I'm Nico Stranquist

Senior Software Engineer building developer platforms, AI infrastructure, and full-stack products.

Today I build and use local-first Go tools for complex software and knowledge systems:

  • Nicos Catalog — an Apache-2.0 Go engine I built and open-sourced for software catalogs. It has provider plugins, typed entities, full-text and relationship search, and drift checks that fail closed when catalog data and the source system disagree.
  • docs-puller — an Apache-2.0 Go documentation-retrieval CLI I built and open-sourced with SQLite FTS5 and a reproducible public evaluation. Its BM25 sample reaches 95.8% Hit@1 and 100% Hit@5.

I work primarily with Go, TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python/FastAPI, PostgreSQL, AWS, Cloudflare, and AI/RAG systems.
