I addressed this in commit 07fc55c by merging the latest main into this branch. The prior CI failure was the Merge Gatekeeper timing out while waiting on incomplete macOS Python unit-test jobs; updating the branch refreshes workflows/check context so CI can run against the current pipeline state.
