Hi, I'm James 👋, a full-stack 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝘆/𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀 and 𝗝𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁 developer.

From writing games in BASIC in the ’80s, to building websites in Dreamweaver in the ’90s, to writing VB/.NET scripts for work in the ’00s, I’ve had a lifelong interest in computing, engineering and design.

I trained at Makers Academy in 2014 and have been hands-on with commercial web software since then, alongside product and business management roles, before moving into full-time IC development in January 2023.

🧠 I'm currently working on:

  • 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀 / 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝘄𝗶𝗿𝗲 applications and product-led features.
  • 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁 frontends and modern JavaScript/TypeScript workflows.
  • Legacy 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀 app revival, refactoring and documentation.
  • Practical 𝗔𝗜 / 𝗠𝗖𝗣 tooling for insurance-broking workflows.
