…dev#661 The Dec 2022 benchmarking post recommends --vm-type=qemu/--mount-type=sshfs and frames VirtioFS as experimental; VirtioFS is now the standard, mature choice and 9p mounting is gone. Redirect to docker-performance-2023, its direct successor (that post already describes itself as "an update of the same technique used in December 2022"). Kept rather than removed: it's the original 2021 announcement with real value as history (the benchmark charts, the Tag1 sponsorship story), and nothing else links to it. Added an update note correcting the "brand-new/experimental" framing -- Mutagen is now the default, mature performance mode on macOS/Windows, and NFS was removed in v1.25.0. ddev#661 The post celebrates switching MySQL 8+ images to bitnami/mysql. Bitnami changed the terms of its Docker Hub images in 2025 (ddev/ddev#7470) and DDEV moved to Docker Hardened Image bases instead. Added an update note recording what actually happened. The embedded 2020 YouTube video showed an obsolete DDEV UI. Removed it, along with the now-unneeded "Watch:" title framing and Videos category. Also fixed two links to a dead docs anchor (alternate-uses/#casual-project- webosting...), pointing them at the current topics/hosting/ page like the other links in the post already did. No duplicated content was found in the current text, so nothing else needed changing there.
