## 2.6.1 (2026-07-27)

- Fix a 2.6 regression in `asarray(array_object_from_another_library)`, so that
the dtype of the result matches the dtype of the input. See
[gh-222](https://github.com/data-apis/array-api-strict/issues/222) for the
discussion.
- Revert the addition of `__dlpack_device__` method. See
[gh-219](https://github.com/data-apis/array-api-strict/issues/219) for
discussion.
- Add a new device object, `Device("no_x64")`, which support single-precision floats
and integers of up to 32-bit widths. This device mimics the default JAX behavior,
which does not support not only `float64` but also `int64` and `uint64` types.
