Python 3.14 changes Linux multiprocessing defaults, which prevents existing nested timeout tests from starting. This preserves the Codewars testing API with an explicit local fork context, detects timeout child crashes/early exits, and prevents duplicate failures from
allow_raise=True.Failed comparisons now include bounded expected/actual values and user-code locations through existing escaped logs. Bare assertion failures receive a useful fallback message. Cleanup hooks run before a group closes, including when setup fails, and hook errors remain visible alongside the original failure.
Validation: all 42 framework/output regression tests pass on CPython 3.11.17 and 3.14.6 in Linux ARM64 containers and on native AMD64 CI for Python 3.8, 3.10, 3.11 and exact 3.14.6. The candidate image builds and passes all preset smoke checks on native AMD64; all 146 Python 3.14 Exo runner assertions pass locally under AMD64 emulation. Native full-runner qualification, staging rendering and author acceptance remain release gates.
The Python 3.14 image will pin the reviewed framework revision. Existing runtime images are unchanged. Draft for review; no release or deployment is requested by this PR.
