I am a network engineer and programmer in Eugene, Oregon. I make things and manage a lot of stuff in a large education network, along with an assortment of other tasks. Feel free to say hello, especially if you're local.
- Working on Stella: powerful, efficient and elegant network monitoring software written in Go. A public repo soon!
- Working on miscellaneous native mobile apps that redefine how I use my iPhone.
I primarily do (in no particular order):
- 🤖 Agents
- 🐍 Python
- 🕸️ JavaScript/TypeScript (mostly backend API stuff with Bun, these days)
- 🪵 Graylog
- 🔥 Fortigate
- 🌲 Juniper Mist
- 🌲 Juniper JunOS
- 🤬 Cisco junk (IOS *
and AireOS) - 🐚 Shell
- 🦫 Go
- 🕵🏻♂️ APIs and API reverse engineering
- ⚙️ Ansible, Nornir, oxidized, etc
- 🔋 Powershell
- 📈 SQL
- 🧑🤝🧑 Active Directory
- 🕷️ Security, pentesting, threat hunting, etc.
I used to do:
- C#, ASP.net, Ruby (regular and Rails), Swift, Objective C, UNIX C, Turbo C++, Windows C++, 68K ASM, and so on. 😂
- I once did a ton of C#/.net/ASP.NET, primarily building backend management websites, P/Invoke, and low-level LDAP code (most of System.DirectoryServices didn't exist back then)
- Wrote misc apps, including video game "trainers" in C++ (MFC, etc) 😎
- Some NT kernel programming (NT 4 and 2000 era) 👴🏻
- Windows Phone programming!
- Built an HR system and business applications for a squadron of hundreds using Visual Basic and Access during the 1990s in the military. 😅
