The CI is currently failing on this PR, but that would be fixed by the changes in #7233. If someone's game to review and approve that one first so I can merge it, I can rebase this one and show it running green before approval. |

As a step toward establishing some docs conventions and workflows (e.g., automation that catches typos before they get committed), several obvious typos in the current book docs are fixed here.
