This PR revives our outdated sample, which was still relying on RN SDK 8.X and bumps all dependencies. Main changes are:
Tested on macOS 26.5, Xcode 26.6 and Android Studio Quail 2 | 2026.1.2, on Galaxy S22+ (Android 16) and iPhone 13 mini (iOS 26.5).
