Same pass as the README: no em dashes, active voice, and the metaphors replaced with what they describe. - "the rule still lands" is the banned shipping metaphor. It applies. - "It is not that upstream never changes, it is that nothing is anchored" is the "not just X but Y" shape. Two plain sentences. - "port correctness wearing an overlay's clothes" says less than "fixes the port rather than adding to it". - "Appending buys immunity to upstream drift" names a feeling. It survives any rewording.
