This conceptual PR aims to create an initial list of contribution guidelines for those working on this repo. The problem addressed by this PR is that all fruitful PR comments get lost after successful PR merge, so the idea is to let them survive somewhere else. This can be continuously maintained in separate PRs or alternatively somewhere else, e.g., backlog or wiki.
