Fractional CTO leadership for startups and small-to-medium businesses. Greater Toronto Area, remote across North America.
Most client work is private. What is public here is our own tooling — infrastructure, integrations and developer utilities we built because we needed them, then released.
That is deliberate. We are not showing you a portfolio of applications we would like to build for you. We are showing you what we run our own practice on.
Strategic thinking. We start from business goals, not a requirements document. Most companies do not need more software. They need to know which three decisions actually matter this quarter.
Hands-on execution. We build, hire, ship, and stay accountable for the outcome. No decks handed over at the end of a discovery phase.
A fraction of the cost. Senior technology leadership without full-time executive overhead.
| What you get | What is missing | |
|---|---|---|
| Development shop | Engineering capacity | Nobody accountable for whether it was the right thing to build |
| Advisory-only fractional CTO | Strategic direction | No capacity to execute it |
| Reyem | Both, from the person accountable for the result | — |
We do write software — under CTO leadership, for teams that need capacity and direction at the same time and cannot yet justify a full-time CTO. It is a stop-gap we offer when it is asked for, not a service we pitch.
Fractional CTO. Ongoing technical leadership: architecture decisions, hiring, delivery process, vendor selection, board-level translation.
Technology Health Check. A two-week, fixed-fee assessment. Nine dimensions, one number out of 100, and a written report you keep whether or not you ever work with us again. Each dimension is scored by its worst finding rather than its average, and every domain is labelled with the tier of evidence behind it — so the report says how much of itself to trust. Technical due diligence. Pre-deal review of a target's engineering. We did not build it, so we have no rewrite to defend.
