IARIW 2026 workshop deck

From open models to executable law: PolicyEngine and Axiom — Thu 27 Aug 2026, 14:40–15:30, IARIW–CAPE workshop, UCLouvain Saint-Louis, Brussels.

37 slides adapted from cbo-2026 with Belgium/international framing. Route: /slides/iariw-2026.

Fact discipline — every number verified against primary sources on 2026-08-26 via a multi-agent verification pass:

  • PolicyBench stats updated to the published v1.1 board (old "1 in 3 to 1 in 7" was stale → best ≈1 in 9, weakest >1 in 3)
  • Certification slide states the computed registry truth: 0/13 certified, 10/13 conformant; Denmark = conformant-but-not-certified flagship
  • Belgium × EUROMOD: 23/23 conformant, 33 suites / 156 comparisons / 0 unexplained (axiom-oracles origin/main)
  • Microcosm-BE v0.5 sealed artifacts (254 targets, 1.84% mean |err|, ledger 10/143/29)
  • Facts Register re-verified at source; five stale rows updated in messaging/

Includes demo fallback screenshots (venue-wifi insurance), DEMO-SCRIPT.md, and SPEAKER-NOTES.md with a timing map and question crib.

adapted from cbo-2026 with Belgium/international framing. Every number
verified against primary sources on 2026-08-26: PolicyBench v1.1 board,
axiom-oracles origin/main (BE conformance, certificates), Microcosm-BE
v0.5 sealed artifacts, and the Facts Register re-checked at source.
Includes demo fallback screenshots, DEMO-SCRIPT.md, and SPEAKER-NOTES.md.

Turbopack's JSX transform drops the leading space of the text node that
follows the final inline element in these paragraphs (DOM-verified:
'ci-fixerto', 'skillsworking', 'descentover'). Make the spaces explicit
with {' '}, matching the idiom the rest of the repo already uses. Same
fix applied to the three cbo-2026 originals, which share the bug.

The CBO deck's motivating escalation — every bill scored (>300k cells),
every series forecast (>10m), crossed (>100b) — adapted for the IARIW
room, plus live iframe slides with Expand for the Axiom App (Belgium),
policyengine.org/be, and the Microcosm calibration dashboard, each with
its static screenshot as the no-network fallback. 44 slides.

Questions (every bill scored / every outcome estimated / crossed / a
moving baseline / PolicyBench) → what do we arm the AI with? — five
primitives, each a project with its feedback loop: Axiom, Chronicle,
Microcosm, PolicyEngine, and judgment — then six-years-under-one-roof
history and a section per primitive with its demo. New Chronicle slide
(148 source packages, 40 publishers — verified on main today), closing
loop slide (forecast resolution + roundtable hand-off). 48 slides.
