This pull request introduces several documentation updates for NetApp Console local deployment, focusing on clarifying retention periods for alerts and notifications, adding identity and access management limitations, and providing more precise guidance around user invitations. The changes improve transparency for users regarding how long notifications and alerts are retained, clarify onboarding and account recovery requirements, and address minor editorial issues.

Retention and notification updates:

  • Added explicit notes about alert and UI notification retention periods: alerts are retained for 7 days, and UI notifications for 24 hours. These notes are included in relevant sections such as alert monitoring, notification delivery configuration, and alert rule management. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Identity and access management clarifications:

  • Added a new section outlining identity and access limitations, including the requirement for an SMTP server for local user onboarding and password reset, and the restriction against duplicate email addresses between local and Active Directory users.

User invitation process:

  • Clarified that local user invitation links are single-use and expire after 7 days, with instructions on how to resend an invitation if it expires.

Editorial and usability improvements:

  • Simplified the installation instructions by removing redundant text regarding the configuration check for network access during deployment.
  • Removed a redundant keyword from the task-get-help.adoc front matter for improved search relevance.
