The Alf Reference Implementation repository has three branches.

From v1.0.0 forward, the master branch contains only production releases.
The development branch includes interim work on implementing updates to the Alf specification, as approved by the Alf RTF. This work gets merged into the master branch for tracking releases.
The maintenance branch includes interim work on bug fixes or code refactoring. This work gets merged into the master branch for maintenance releases.
