Reconciles the publication list against PubMed, Europe PMC, OpenAlex, Semantic Scholar, Crossref, and the preprint servers. The previous list had 18 papers, all from this group.

The list now has 48 papers and preprints, 30 first authors, and lead or co-lead institutions in 7 countries, spanning 2019 to 2026. Twenty-one have no author from the study team.

Changes:

  • Adds a section for statistical and software methods papers using ARTnet.
  • Adds a summary table of use by groups outside the study team: 14 research groups at 26 institutions.
  • Notes that the DOI for Weiss et al. 2020 is 10.1016/j.epidem.2020.100386, and that the study reports 16,198 partnerships. The 15,809 figure that appears in some downstream work is a post-exclusion analytic count and is not the study total.
  • Adds a line asking anyone with unlisted work to get in touch.

Worth flagging from the sweep: ARTnet now parameterizes published models of mpox (six papers), HPV, gonorrhea including antimicrobial-resistant gonorrhea, syphilis, and doxycycline PEP, and it is used outside the EpiModel stack in compartmental, pair-formation, and partner notification models. CDC accounts for six papers on its own.

The list is a lower bound. The acknowledgement wording requested in the MOU is rarely used, and some downstream work cites an intermediate modeling paper rather than Weiss et al. 2020, so citation searching alone misses it.

Also notes two things people get wrong when citing the study: the DOI for
Weiss et al. 2020 is 10.1016/j.epidem.2020.100386, and the study reports
16,198 partnerships, not 15,809, which is a post-exclusion analytic count.
