The remaining live-announcement change is a distinct behavior contract and should not be merged through this overlapping branch: its tests currently hard-code aria-hidden in the icon mocks, omit the rejected clipboard-call assertion, add an unused global Vitest setup, and place aria-live directly inside the focused button without proving assistive-technology behavior. W3C's status-message technique instead treats a persistent, non-focused role="status" container as the semantic status boundary (implicit polite/atomic live-region behavior). Reintroduce that capability as a narrowly scoped, test-first PR after #376, with a stable button name and a separately testable status message.
