Fix branch name sanitization and improve UI refresh state handling - #63
Conversation
Sanitize forbidden characters, consecutive dots, and .lock suffixes in branch names. Use structure-aware row updates in file status list to avoid full reloads. Publish refreshed local statuses and poll background sync more frequently.

- Line 38: Update the component-sanitizing logic around the `.lock` suffix check
so trailing dots are removed before checking for `.lock`, then continue removing
`.lock` suffixes until the component no longer ends in `.lock`. Ensure inputs
such as `feature.lock.` cannot produce a result ending in `.lock`.

statusLoadGeneration so it does not invalidate an in-flight loadStatus() without
replacing it; preserve the full load’s ability to apply LFS paths, recent
commits, and branch integration status, or start a replacement full load after
applying the snapshot.

showing a different pull request replaces the current detail window.

Cache entry expiry now drives detail refresh decisions. Retain loaded list state on fetch errors.
Preserve fetched entries past expiration and surface refresh errors without clearing the loaded list.

Honor the list cache expiry before fetching.
When diskCache.entry returns a fresh page and forceRefresh is false, apply the cached page and return. Continue fetching for expired entries and forced refreshes. The current flow always calls service.listPullRequests, so opening the list within its 120-second TTL makes a redundant provider request and can show an error despite fresh cached data.
