Run frontend

npm install
npm run dev

The frontend API helper reads VITE_API_URL or VITE_API_BASE_URL and normalizes the result so calls end under /api. If no variable is configured, it uses same-origin /api.

For optional local development proxying, set VITE_API_PROXY_TARGET before running Vite. No localhost proxy is enabled by default.

Run backend

The backend exports app from /backend/app/main.py and keeps all app routes under /api.
