Most of the retained symbols were moved from BoboTiG#493 to the new BoboTiG#517 issue. The with_cursor issue is not addressed in this change.

Most of the retained symbols were moved from #493 to the new #517 issue.
The with_cursor issue is not addressed in this change; it's still tagged with #493, and will be addressed separately.
