Switch between tabs without opening explorer

Hello,

I am trying to adapt nvim-tree to do the following:

• Only trigger open / close with <C-g>
• If I have multiple tabs open (opened either via <Enter> or <C-t>, I want to be switching between tabs using <S-z>/<S-x>.

This is my current (failing) attempt so far:

-- new tab
lvim.keys.normal_mode["<C-n>"] = ":tabnew<cr>"

Issues

• If I have a tab which was opened with <C-t>, changing tabs using <S-z> opens the explorer
• If I have a tab which was opened with <Enter>, changing tabs using <S-z> does nothing

Any help will be greatly appreciated
