@cillian64 knows far more about libliftoff than I do, so I will leave him to answer in detail, but if it helps, while we've not updated the version of labwc in RPiOS for a while because we have been busy with other things, we will be updating to 0.8.4 as soon as it goes live on Debian - so your easiest solution may just be to wait a week or so! |

Hello,
I was using the bundled labwc with latest Raspberry Pi OS, however I wanted to use the latest lawbc for the Hidecursor functionality.
I have compiled the new labwc locally on my raspberry pi and moved it accordingly to ensure the latest version of labwc 0.8.4, however upon reboot my raspberry pi desktop is just a blank black screen. I noticed that in the 'environment' file located in '/etc/xdg/lawbc' there is this line 'WLR_DRM_FORCE_LIBLIFTOFF=1' which if I remove and restart the Pi, desktop works perfectly.
Does anyone know what the line means exactly? and how it breaks the desktop? I have a few more Raspberry Pi I would like to update labwc and noticed that line exists in the environment.
If anyone can shed some light, I would be highly appreciate & I apologize for the noob question, I'm learning along :)
