When I get off my PC for the day, it goes into hibernation at some point (I'm running WSL 2.0).
The memtrace server will still be running but sends out heartbeat requests continuously.

Maybe it's possible to detect lack of network due to hibernation, and skip these requests? Then, when you log back on, just say "I woke up again, heartbeat OK"
