mcpproxy.app website blocked by network filter

This is more just a heads up that this might be happening for other people. We use Global Protect. It is flagging the site as grayware.

I've already filed a ticket w\ our IT to have it reclassified.

We're submitting reclassification requests to Palo Alto PAN-DB (primary) plus ~14 other URL-categorization vendors (Cisco Talos, Symantec, Forcepoint, FortiGuard, Zscaler, Sophos, Trellix, Check Point, BrightCloud, SmartScreen, Norton, IBM X-Force, etc.) so the fix benefits every enterprise behind the major filters, not just individual IT tickets.

Meanwhile — two workarounds:

1. Binaries also live directly on GitHub: https://github.com/smart-mcp-proxy/mcpproxy-go/releases (usually reachable even when mcpproxy.app is filtered).
2. Windows builds are code-signed via SignPath Foundation — that certificate chain should help convince stricter filters.

We'll post back on this thread when PAN-DB reclassifies. Typical vendor turnaround is 1–14 days.

Thanks for the heads-up @tjsingleton. Unfortunately mcpproxy.app's classification by Palo Alto/Global Protect is something we can only nudge from our side by submitting a re-categorisation request via Palo Alto's URL filtering portal — which we'll do.

Leaving this open as a tracking issue for the website classification. If anyone else hits this with a different vendor (Zscaler, Cisco Umbrella, etc.), please drop a comment so we can submit re-categorisation requests in parallel.
