These guided workflows show how to complete common tasks inside Synapse. Follow them verbatim on your first run, then adapt the steps to match your own content.
- Open the Chrome AI Setup guide and confirm every requirement is complete.
- Launch Synapse and navigate to Workspace.
- In the input mode chooser, select URL Extraction.
- Paste the article URL (blogs and news sites work best) and press Extract content.
- After the text loads, switch to the Text Input tab. The extracted content auto-fills the smart textarea.
- Open Output Formats and pick the Classroom bundle preset (Paragraphs + Key Takeaways + Discussion Prompts).
- Submit the text. Watch the streaming progress indicator as each format is generated.
- Switch to Comparison view to validate accuracy against the original.
- Copy the outputs you need or mark the run as a favorite in the history panel.
- Go to Preferences → Language Targets and add the languages you need to
the favorites list (for example,
es,fr,de). - Return to the Workspace, choose File Upload, and drop a DOCX or PDF containing the source material (10 MB max).
- Once extraction completes, open Output Formats and choose the Multilingual digest preset.
- Submit the request. The translator will stream results for each selected format.
- Use the history entry to export the translated content as JSON for sharing.
- From the workspace input tabs, pick Writing Tools.
- Select Tone Adjust from the tool list.
- Choose the Confident tone and press Load example to preview the style.
- Replace the example with your outreach email and click Run tone adjust.
- Review the revised message. If it fits, copy it directly or hand it off to the main workspace using Use in workspace.
- Stay in Text Input mode and paste your source material.
- Under Output Formats, choose at least two formats (for example, Paragraphs + Bullets + Lesson Plan).
- Submit the request. Streaming updates show partial results as they arrive.
- When processing finishes, select Comparison view to see the rewritten text alongside your original.
- Toggle formats in the sidebar to inspect each variation.
- Scroll to Processing history at the bottom of the workspace.
- Filter by Favorites to find a previous conversion you trust.
- Expand the entry, choose Restore to workspace, and confirm the prompt.
- The original input and settings re-populate the active workspace so you can iterate without starting from scratch.
