unable to change region

i've setted the environment variable AWS_REGION and the region property on my machine but when I deploy with sls deploy it takes always the default region

I'm experiencing the same region configuration issue that was previously reported. Despite setting the AWS_REGION environment variable, deployments continue to default to us-east-1 instead of my specified region.
Environment:

Serverless Framework version: 4.17.2
Expected behavior: Framework should respect the configured region
Actual behavior: Always defaults to us-east-1

Question:
@austencollins Could you confirm if this bug has been resolved? The issue persists in the current version I'm using.
