EventsCBGExecutorinto a function which takes a genericrclcpp::Executordo something in ROS land (like send a goal request to a server)
Call
spin_until_future_completeon the executorthe executor hangs indefinitely
Expected behavior
The
EventsCBGExecutorhonors the base class interface, exercises its ownspinmechanisms and doesn't indefinitely hang waiting on a future that isn't actually being exercisedActual behavior
The future is never completed and the
spin_until_future_completecall hangs indefinitely.Executor::spin_until_future_complete_implcallsspin_once_impl, which theEventsCBGExecutordoes not override, resulting in the base class version being called instead (erroneously using waitsets).Additional information
