Affiliations when doc exported to PDF

Description

Hi, I have a document that I want to export as both an HTML file and a PDF file. It is a paper format. I know how to insert the affiliations so they appear when compiling the doc as an HTML file. However, I do not know how to insert the affiliations so that they are rendered when compiling to PDF. No error is produced in PDF, but the affiliations are nowhere to be seen.

Thanks for the prompt response. Using the hchulkim/econ-paper-template solved the problem. But it was a difficult one to solve.
