We are maintaining a fork here: https://github.com/Zegocover/enmerkar which is being kept up to date with the latest versions of python/django

Thank you for raising this issue. I'd be curious, if there's a chance to merge the fork back into django-babel and also to add their maintainers to this repo here?

@graingert would you be able to add maintainers for enmerkar to here so that they could maintain django-babel instead of having to have their own fork?
