I need to upgrade my operating system on my virtual server. I plan to backup all necessary configuration files and make a clean install of Debian 13.

To get Jamulus servers working again, I first need to secure the login (no password, etc.), then I need to install required packages (is this page up to date?), clone Jamulus, compile and setup startup services.

The above time window is not meant to be an outage of that length. I will start the installation sometime in the morning and hopefully, if everything works out fine, the outage may only be about one hour.

If it does look like being an extended outage, for Any Genre 2 I have a Directory available that we could switch to (it's doing nothing useful right now).

(Update check server 2 conflicts with AG1, of course, so I can't cover that.)

Installation completed, jamulus server running again.

Outstanding issue: IP v6 seems not to work. Only IP v4. I'm currently working on resolving this issue.

@ann0see you also have a 1Fire server, right? After reinstallation of my Debian OS, my "Netzwerk" settings in the 1Fire panel looks like this:

Unfortunately, I have not stored a screen shot of my previous OS which is now deleted. Can you please look at your server if there is a IPv6 section for your server? For mine, there is only a IPv4 section right now.

No - there is no IPv6 section. I assume that you'll get it automatically via SLAAC? https://help.1fire.de/vserver/netzwerk I did configure it statically though. Maybe it's worth contacting the support in your case - otherwise, I think that you should be able to check DNS which IPv6 address you had.

I contacted the support which solved the issue. I had to restart the virtual server in the Control Panel of the provider (a sudo reboot in the VM was not enough).

The IPv6 has changed. I updated the AAAA records for fischvolk.de. They should work fine now:

Note: On https://github.com/jamulussoftware/jamulus/wiki/Installation-for-Linux/3175caa18e9f1e589bf4f52f9cd316eb64f6a3ea, you should remove qt5-default from the installation list since this packet no longer exists in Debian 13.
