Upgrade Ruby support from 3.2 to 3.4

Ruby 3.2.9 is currently used for this project, but is no longer supported (as of 2026-03-31).

Proposed work:

• Add explicit supported Ruby version metadata in the gemspec
• Update CI to test Ruby 3.4
• Fix any compatibility issues found under Ruby 3.4
