Cannot install on WSL

Behaviour

Clicking install shows either the compatibility error or installation does not finish.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install VS Code from microsoft store.
2. Install WSL and pull image.
3. Run code . from wsl terminal.
4. Try to install python extension.

Diagnostic data

No logs are present in the python window.
