Randomly high CPU usage when using PySide6

Behaviour

High CPU usage randomly in a project using PySide6 (the fans are loud), and when the extension is stopped, the fans stop

Steps to reproduce:

1. Install PySide6, work on a project for a while, and, randomly, high CPU usage

Output for Python in the Output panel (View→Output, change the drop-down the upper-right of the Output panel to Python)

are you able to repro when you are outside of vscode environment? Not using Python extension?

I don't think we do anything with PySide6.

How do I look at the CPU usage?

You can run something like this from an external terminal:

ps -eo pid,ppid,cmd,%cpu --sort=-%cpu | head
