Currently, in non-Portable mode, QuickView automatically adds itself to the 'Open With' right-click menu for all supported formats. Please note that this merely adds it to the list of available apps and will not hijack your default image viewer.

Due to restrictions introduced in Windows 11, applications can no longer set themselves as the default program programmatically (this now requires manual user configuration in Windows Settings). Since QuickView only populates the 'Open With' list without interfering with your defaults, registering all supported formats by default is the most seamless approach.

Given that QuickView's core design philosophy is to remain as minimalist and lightweight as possible, adding a dedicated UI for selective file association would unnecessarily complicate the software. Therefore, we prefer to stick with the current solution.
