The controller is not supported and i cannot connect it with the mod. Could you add it to your supported controllers? This would be very nice, my Wife wants to play minecraft with me and we dont want to buy another pc :D

I' ve done some troubleshooting witch Chat GPT and my own little knowledge of programming and can give you a generated Bug report. I hope this helps you to prevent more bugs with this type of controller:D

Bug Report:

GameSir G7 Pro Wireless Dongle not detected unless SDL_JOYSTICK_WGI=1 is enabled
Environment

Problem

The GameSir G7 Pro is not detected by Controlify when it is connected through its wireless USB dongle.

Windows detects the controller correctly as:

Controller (Xbox One For Windows)

The controller also works correctly in joy.cpl, including all buttons and analog sticks.

Steam detects it correctly as an Xbox One Controller as well.

However, Controlify reports no connected controllers.

The Controlify debug dump shows:

with no controllers listed.

The Minecraft log confirms that SDL initializes successfully and loads the gamepad mappings, but does not discover the controller:

Tests performed

I tested several SDL environment variables.

These did not fix the issue:

SDL_XINPUT_ENABLED=1
SDL_JOYSTICK_HIDAPI_XBOX_ONE=1

However, enabling Windows Gaming Input immediately fixed the problem:

SDL_JOYSTICK_WGI=1

After setting this environment variable and restarting Modrinth/Minecraft, Controlify successfully detects the GameSir G7 Pro through the wireless dongle.

Additional observation

The controller can operate in different connection modes.

When switching the controller to Bluetooth mode, Controlify briefly detects devices named:

XInput Controller
Xbox 360 Controller for Windows

They disconnect again because the PC does not have Bluetooth available.

The detection problem therefore appears to be specifically related to the GameSir G7 Pro's wireless USB dongle / Xbox One interface and the SDL backend used by Controlify.

Possible cause

It appears that SDL 3.4.12 does not enumerate this particular Xbox-compatible controller/dongle through Controlify's default SDL configuration.

Enabling:

SDL_JOYSTICK_WGI=1

causes SDL/Controlify to detect it correctly.

This suggests that enabling or providing a fallback to the SDL Windows Gaming Input (WGI) backend could add support for this controller/dongle without requiring users to manually create a Windows environment variable.
