io.ipfs.api.IPFS calls shutdown

Greetings - hope you are all doing great

I have a Java Spring Boot app that was using:

io.ipfs.api.IPFS

When my app stops somehow this is being called:

http://127.0.0.1:5001/api/v0/shutdown

which is considered by the IPFS node as an interrupt and reported as such.

Cannot see where this is being called.

For those of you who have the same problem and are using a recent version of Spring Boot this fixes the problem:

@configuration
public class IpfsConfig {

@Bean( destroyMethod = "" )
IPFS ipfsClient() {

    return new IPFS( "/ip4/127.0.0.1/tcp/5001" );
}

}

The trick is to set destroyMethod = ""

I see this as almost a back door for clients to stop the IPFS daemon.

To prevent this being done io.ipfs.api.IPFS could rename the shutdown method to something different.

I have seen comments of people not knowing why their IPFS daemon so this could be the reason :-)

I find it very rude that Java Spring Boot does this with zero annotation and zero implementation of a special interface. This is rude :-)
