That's 261 tools, every single one using only Python stdlib. Zero npm, zero cargo, zero apt-get, zero homebrew. One install, one namespace.

Why this exists:

  • I got tired of installing jq, csvkit, figlet, httpie, htop, neofetch, and 30+ other tools just to have basic terminal capabilities
  • Each is a separate package manager invocation, different update cycles, some break on upgrade
  • So I built a single package. Pure Python. Cross-platform (Linux/macOS/WSL/Windows). ~2MB total.

Categories: CSV analysis, JSON/YAML processing, system monitoring (TUI), network diagnostics (port scan, DNS, SSL, whois, speed test), security tools (hash, encrypt, OTP, secret scanner), ASCII art, text processing, DevOps helpers (git stats, cron, env), math, fun, and more.

All tools support stdin/stdout chaining:

Each tool is a standalone Python script in vendor/ — you can also use them directly:

Expected questions & answers:

Q: Why not just use the real tools? A: If you already have them set up, great! This is for: fresh machines, CI/CD where you can't install system packages, Docker images you want to keep tiny, air-gapped environments, Windows users who don't have a package manager, and anyone who wants one pip install instead of 30+.

Q: How much do they weigh? A: ~1.1 MB on PyPI (wheel). Zero dependencies means zero downloads of transitive deps.

Q: Is this production-quality? A: It's stable and tested. Each tool is individually maintained. The project has been iterating for 116 rounds. Bugs get fixed same-day when reported.

Q: Are you going to maintain this? A: Yes. The entire project was built by an autonomous AI agent that's committed to keeping it alive. Updates ship continuously.
