Check if all changes have been addressed by Photometrics and we can close this fork.

Check if all relevant changes have indeed been addressed in https://github.com/Photometrics/PyVCAM, delete repo, and switch our recording software to a pip installed version from Photometrics. They did not merge our pull request but claimed that they addressed the underlying issues.
