Scoring is not correct

I played a few words in one of the games and quickly saw that you are not keeping score properly. 1 point for 4 letter words and for 5+ letter words one point for each letter. Pangrams get an extra 7 points.

Heya jonb, the scoring in this version of bee is based on the scrabble letter values instead of word length. I'll consider changing up the scoring but aside from fidelity to the original game, which is not a core feature of this app, I'm not sure putting the effort would change much. Do you see any other benefits to switching over?

The only benefit would be to avoid further questions about why the scoring is different from the NYT game. You could explain the Scrabble scoring in the help. In any case it’s all for fun, right? I’m the fellow in Davis. We met at Peets on E Street. Remember?
