problem

When using the bulk delete templates option, I am presented with a generic 404 screen after the deletion completes and press close on the Bulk Deletion window.

The steps to reproduce the bug

1. On the templates select a template
2. Click Zones
3. Add a check to every zone
4. Press bulk delete templates
5. Press close when completed.

What to do about it?

This should probably redirect the user to the templates page, instead of showing 404 on the now deleted template.

I would like to work on this issue. It seems like a routing issue where the UI remains on the deleted resource's path after the bulk action completes.

I plan to investigate the bulk-delete component in the UI and ensure that upon closing the success modal, the user is redirected back to the main templates list view to avoid the 404. I'll start by locating the relevant Vue components for template actions.

I’ve implemented a first pass at a fix for the bulk delete 404 issue in TemplateZones.vue and wanted to confirm if I’m on the right track.
Specifically:

I left deleteTemplate and deleteTemplates as-is, since they already handle single and bulk delete flows (including the redirect to /template when deleting the last zone from the template details page).

I added logic in handleCancel() (the callback from BulkActionProgress) to refresh the data and, if dataSource is empty after bulk delete, call this.$router.go(-1) so the user is not left on a 404 page when the template/zones are gone.

I’ve tested:

Single-zone delete from the template details page still redirects correctly to /template.

Bulk delete from the Zones tab, then closing the bulk action modal, no longer results in a 404 when everything is deleted; the component now navigates back instead.

Could you please confirm whether this approach aligns with what you had in mind, or if you’d prefer the navigation to happen in a different place (e.g. inside deleteTemplate / deleteTemplates or using a different route)?

@DaanHoogland, i will make the PR but first i will test the error 404 in the UI on my laptop and so for that I have created the environment but the thing is that I don't have default id and password so i want to ask can I login by my id or is there any other default or testing id and password

This is my first contribution to CloudStack, so I’d appreciate any feedback or guidance.

In this PR I’ve updated TemplateZones.vue so that after bulk deleting template zones, the UI no longer navigates to a 404 page. Instead, when all zones for a template are deleted, the user is redirected back to the main Templates list, and when some zones remain, the current template view continues to work as expected.

If there’s a preferred pattern for handling navigation in this component, or if I’ve missed any edge cases (e.g. specific permission/zone combinations, other views that depend on this behaviour), please let me know and I’ll be happy to adjust the implementation.
