Upload template from local is failing

I have downloaded a working template from a different zone and i am trying to create a new template in a different zone by uploading that template which i downloaded but it is saying failed always

Hi @TheKunalSen I had the same issue on my site after default installation.
What I did to fix this:
First find out what the actual process is doing.
I used Browser DevTools for this and noticed that the upload is by default done with http to the Public IP of the secondary storage VM.
Not sure why but this seems to be an issue.

Fix to get things working:

1. Enable https for upload: Global settings -> use.https.to.upload
   By default the SSL certifcate used then is 9 years old so still an issue. So you have to open the URL first and accept the certificate before uploading.
2. Install proper SSL certificate https://www.shapeblue.com/securing-cloudstack-4-11-with-https-tls/
   Hint: for me the import only worked with cloudmonkey.

@TheKunalSen above from @la-wu should work. Alternatively you can disable use.https.to.upload global setting and destroy the SSVM. Once a new SSVM is created try the upload again, it will work with http now.

Have you checked the Management Server and Secondary Storage VM logs? Template upload issues are often related to storage accessibility, permissions, or network connectivity between the Management Server and Secondary Storage VM. It's also worth reviewing the Management Server logs and verifying that the secondary storage is mounted and accessible from all required hosts.
