Bug Report: "Toggle Sidebar" menu option (Ctrl+B) is unresponsive
Description
In the desktop application, navigating to View > Toggle Sidebar (or using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+B) currently does nothing.
Context & Observations
Recently, a new UI update was pushed (accessible via a settings flag) that redesigned the user interface. In the previous UI format, the sidebar existed as a distinct vertical panel. In the new UI layout, the sidebar functionality appears to have been migrated into a tab-based system.
Because the UI was changed, the "Toggle Sidebar" menu item seems to have been left in a broken or non-functional state.
Expected Behavior
Clicking View > Toggle Sidebar (or pressing Ctrl+B) should have a clear result:
- If the plan is to keep the new tab-based UI: The menu option should either toggle a specific view related to the new layout, or be removed entirely if a sidebar no longer exists.
- If the plan is to allow toggling between UI paradigms: The toggle should switch the user between the new tabbed layout and the legacy sidebar layout.
Leaving an unresponsive menu item in the File > View menu creates confusion for the user.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open the OpenCode Desktop Application.
- (If applicable) Ensure the new UI flag is toggled on in settings.
- In the top application menu, click View.
- Click Toggle Sidebar (or press
Ctrl+B).
- Observe that no visual change occurs in the application layout.
