Pertuis-Nav is a specialized, community-driven maritime navigation and routing application specifically designed for the complex, shallow-water environment of the Pertuis Charentais area (France). By dynamically cross-referencing high-resolution SHOM LiDAR bathymetry data with real-time tidal heights, wind, and currents, the app calculates safe and optimal routes tailored to the user's specific boat draft.
Integrating AISStream will allow the application to display live commercial, passenger, and fishing vessel traffic in narrow channels (like the Charente river and port entrances), providing critical anti-collision alerts (CPA/TCPA) and enhanced safety for small craft and coastal sailors in high-risk, breaking-wave zones.
