Delphi 2007 lockbox2 To Delphi 11 lockbox3

I have applications in Delphi 2007 that use LockBox2 with 3DES CBC encryption. However, when trying to decrypt the same string in LockBox3 on Delphi 11, decryption fails. Is there a way to maintain backward compatibility?

LockBox2 is as backward compatible as possible, but in Delphi 2007 a string is an AnsiString whereas from 2009 a string is a UnicodeString.
