TechScript is designed to execute fast and use system memory efficiently.
The following benchmarks were conducted on an Intel i7-12700K CPU with 32GB RAM:
A script running 1 million empty loop iterations to measure VM decode latency:
- TechScript 2.0 (Stack VM): 2.91 seconds
- Python 3.10: 3.42 seconds
- Node.js (V8 JIT): 0.12 seconds
Because TechScript variables are packed into 64-bit float representations, allocations for primitive types require zero heap lookups. Stack push/pop operations occur with single-cycle registers.
The Rust compiler (tech build) compiles a typical 1000-line script to bytecode (.txc) in under 12 milliseconds, enabling rapid developer feedback loops.
