Inspiration from the work done through “immerscience” program in France

• Pupils / high school students are reading the paper, trying to understand the analytical part, create a workflow “by hand” on a paper + identify raw datasets and reference data
• Document the process like a research project

Idea for the implementation

• Chapter 1: Paper reading + quiz to orient / help reading
• Chapter 2: Data analysis, Galaxy history URL sharing
  • Evaluation / points: Galaxy history URL sharing
• Chapter 3: Comparison with original results, critical assessment of the results
• Chapter 4: Paper writing given a template, draft sharing and diff
  • Evaluation / points: comparison/diff between the original and submitted paper?

Focus of this chapter: learning how to repeat a data analysis from a paper and how to write a report of their own findings.
